England pacer Jofra Archer is set to miss all the tests in the upcoming home season but is likely to be available for the white-ball games and the Hundred. The speedster hasn’t played a game for England since March last year as he underwent two operations on his right elbow.
He recently started his rehabilitation as he was seen with England’s T20 team in the West Indies tour. But according to a report in The Telegraph, England won’t risk him in Tests this recovery so that the pacer gets into his groove slowly and steadily. England will play 7 Tests in the summer as they will host New Zealand and South Africa. Also, one test against India which was postponed last summer will be played this year in addition to the white-ball series.
Jofra played a few games for Sussex last summer as he was eying for a comeback but soon he got injured so had to go through another operation.
According to reports, the first glimpse of Jofra on return might be seen on July 7 against India in a T20I clash. He will also play for Southern Brave in The Hundred.

“I am super excited to be joining the Mumbai Indians. It has been a franchise that was really close to my heart and I always wanted to play for them as long as I could have remembered watching IPL cricket.” Jofra Archer said.
Jofra was previously associated with Rajasthan Royals. Coincidentally he made his IPL debut against Mumbai Indians in the 2018 season as he returned with figures of 3/22 in his 4-over spell. It will be interesting to see him forming a bowling combination with Jasprit Bumrah.
