This week’s episode of WWE RAW was the Royal Rumble go-home edition which had Matt Hardy working in a squash match, yet again. For weeks in a row, he appeared on the flagship show of the company to digest quick losses that made some of the pro-wrestling fans really upset. This time around, Erick Rowan delivered a huge Splash followed by an Iron Claw Chokeslam to pick up the win.
New Champions Crowned On This Week’s WWE Raw
A veteran like Matt Hardy deserves better booking in the WWE. But since the officials have made up his mind of not using him in a better way, it’s almost certain that he is parting away with the company as the time is near.
In his latest post on the social media, the former tag team champion hinted that it’s only a matter of time that he jumps ship to work for a different brand other than WWE.
Matt Hardy Responds WWE Not Considering Him Top Talent Anymore
WOW! Thanks for all the love & support from around the world.
I’m trending #17 worldwide because of my @WWE slump & string of #RAW TV losses.
Hope you’re enjoying my #WWE TV appearances.. At this rate there won’t be many more. pic.twitter.com/2OoxiLdIEh

Matt Hardy took his Twitter handle after WWE Raw and commented that he was trending worldwide for WWE’s worse booking towards him to feature in squash matches. He thanked the fans for their support and teased his upcoming WWE departure, once again,
“WOW! Thanks for all the love & support from around the world,” Matt wrote. “I’m trending #17 worldwide because of my @WWE slump & string of #RAW TV losses. Hope you’re enjoying my #WWE TV appearances.. At this rate there won’t be many more.”
As noted by wrestlingINC.com, the WWE contract of Matt Hardy will be expiring soon. So there won’t be any bar for him to wrestle for another promotion starting on Sunday, March 1st. Matt has been in recent talks with WWE officials regarding his contract which did not reach fruition, as of late.
Jeff Hardy Seeking Treatment For Personal Problems
It’s been reported that the “major hurdle” between the two sides is not money, but the creative differences on how he would be used creatively, moving forward. Matt Hardy returned to WWE TV in December, but as noted above, all of those appearances have been in jobber’s role as he’s yet to win a match since then.
Matt Hardy and his brother Jeff Hardy extended their WWE contract, last year around WrestleMania 35. They have been on the receiving end of a significant push by winning the tag team titles for the eighth time in their career.
But that abruptly ended as Jeff suffered an injury and thereafter got arrested due to DUI charges. The insider news suggests that WWE is punishing Matt for Jeff’s guilt which is totally uncalled for.
