A loaded edition of SmackDown on FOX built up the hypes for Money In The Bank to a big extent, last night. As seen on the show, two male and female participants qualified for their respective ladder matches.
Tag Team titles changed hands whereas a new title match was announced for the PPV. Also, a plethora of announcement was reserved for next week’s episode of SmackDown.
New Smackdown Participants Announced For WWE Money In The Bank
The show opened with A Moment of Bliss segment hosted by WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. Bray Wyatt vs. WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman over the championship was then confirmed by SmackDown announcer Michael Cole.

Going by the announcement, it looks like Bray Wyatt may be wrestling the match himself in the Firefly FunHouse sweater version, and not as The Fiend.

Moving forward, Dana Brooke and Daniel Bryan won their respective scheduled qualifying matches to confirm their slots at the 2020 Money In The Bank ladder match.

More MITB qualifiers from SmackDown were announced for next week. Drew Gulak will compete against King Corbin from the men’s division whereas Sasha Banks takes on Lacey Evans from the women’s division. These will be the second set of qualifying matches from the blue brand.
Corey Graves also announced that Carmella and Dana Brooke will challenge WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross on the next episode of SmackDown.
The titles will be on the line as pledged by the challengers, last week. Plus, we will also take a look at the history between Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman on next week’s show to hype up the championship match coming up at Money In The Bank pay-per-view event.

SmackDown also witnessed a major title change by the end of the show. The New Day’s Big E and Kofi Kingston are the new WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions.
The main event of the show witnessed Big E defeating Jey Uso and former champion The Miz to capture the titles on behalf of their tag team. This is the 8th time that The New Day has captured the tag team championships in their illustrious WWE career.
