WWE announced that this week will be the premiere week in their programming with multiple changes coming. Starting from last night’s WWE Raw, we have spotted some major changes on the show that came with a fresh makeover. To hype up the episode, WWE announced multiple huge segments alongside championship matches. The Universal title was on the line with the United States and WWE Raw tag team titles, too.

In the WWE Raw tag title match, The Heavy Machinery (Tucker Knight and Otis Dojovic) challenged Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode hoping to start the new season with a bang. But the current title-holders proved to be too much for them. After initial domination, Otis missed his pendant Caterpillar move and ran into a Superkick from Ziggler. Another superkick followed on Tucker to which Roode added the Glorious DDT to get the big win and retain their titles.

In the other mid-card title matches on WWE Raw, AJ Styles featured in a rematch from Clash of Champions against Cedric Alexander. The high-flyer was on the verge of a win after hitting a Michinoku Driver. He tried to follow up with a Lumbar Check but Styles converted it into a Styles Clash in an amazing way to pick up the win and end the feud.
The feud between Cedric Alexander and AJ Styles has become quite personal for the past several weeks. Styles delivered multiple attacks on the high-flying superstar just to showcase The OCs power to the WWE Universe. So, WWE.com hinted that the former Cruiserweight Champion could be on a mission to dethrone AJ Styles from his title reign,
“Although Styles holds the nominal advantage of the pair — he is the reigning champion, plus The O.C. is never far behind — Alexander has proven to be a persistent foe for The Phenomenal One, even getting the better of Styles during a brief brawl this past Monday. Plus, given that the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion has a history of rising to the occasion, handing him another crack at Styles on a stage as big as the season premiere could be just the thing that propels him to the championship he’s chased for so long.”

But the AJ Styles proved to be indeed phenomenal by pulling off a dominant win over Cedric Alexander with his pendant move that indicates a long title run will be in-store for him in the future.
