The New Zealand team arrived in Pakistan prior to their tour of the ODI and T20I series, starting on April 14, During the tour, they will play five 50-over matches and five T20Is. The Kiwi side last played against Men in Green on their home turf in December last year, in that tour they played two Test matches and three ODIs.
In Pak vs NZ 2022-23 tour, the two Test matches were drawn but Black Caps took the ODI series by 2-1. NZ all-rounder Daryl Mitchell express his thought on the upcoming tour after arriving at Lahore Airport.

Daryl Mitchell acknowledged the Pakistan team prior to the kick-off of the tour-
“There are several young players in the team who have not played in these conditions before, making it a challenging tour, Pakistan has a world-class team and the conditions are vastly different from those in New Zealand, which will provide valuable experience for the young players,”
“Despite the length of the series, he stated that the team will strive to play good cricket,” said the Kiwi all-rounder.
Tom Latham will captain New Zealand in the upcoming ODI series against Pakistan as New Zealand cricket named the squad for the series with potential debuts for Colin McConchie And Ben Lister. Five T20Is are to be played in Karachi from April 14-24. The five ODIs will be played in Lahore and Rawalpindi from April 26-May 7.

The 15-member squad is significantly depleted from New Zealand’s full-strength squad, with Tim Southee, Glenn Phillips, Mitchell Santner, Devon Conway, Finn Allen, Michael Bracewell, and Lockie Ferguson.
New Zealand is likely to have intimate information about the current Pakistan team thanks to a recent addition to their coaching staff. Saqlain Mushtaq, who until February was head coach of the Pakistan national side, has joined New Zealand as an assistant coach.
Pakistan is set to face New Zealand in the upcoming T20I series (PAK vs NZ) with senior campaigners ready to make an early impact. While in the last T20I series the Shadab Khan-led side the fixtures by a 1-2 margin in the UAE.
