Braun Strowman finally won the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 36 by pinning Hall of Famer Goldberg. He digested four mammoth spears before hitting back four Running Powerslams of his own to pick up the biggest win of his career.
This appeared to be one of the co-main events of Night 1 of WrestleMania 36, where the Monster among Men had the best Wrestlemania moment of his career.

But if the ongoing reports are true then Braun Strowman won’t be holding the belt for a long time. According to PWTorch, it looks like he is going to be a transitional champion who is just being used as a bridge between the former and the upcoming champion.
Strowman was not supposed to be the original champion, anyway at Wrestlemania as Roman Reigns was supposed to be the challenger.

It was an unfortunate situation that led Braun Strowman to win the prime gold, for the first time in his career. WWE does not plan to capitalize the most on this, as well as the current creative plan is to take the belt away from him as early as possible. Perhaps, this is the reason he will be booked against The Fiend Bray Wyatt at Money in the Bank 2020. Here’s more from the source,
“He might end up being a transitional Champion. It is very much possible that he doesn’t end up holding the belt for long if this is just a bridge or a band-aid to get the belt back on Roman Reigns or to go a completely different direction.” (courtesy wwfoldschool.com)
As seen on a recent edition of Smackdown, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt confronted Braun Strowman. He mentioned being focused on getting back something (the Universal Championship) that is possessed by Strowman. It could be possible that Strowman’s days as champion are numbered as the resident demonic character from the blue brand has his next target set.
WWE has already booked Bray Wyatt vs. Braun Strowman at the next PPV Money in the Bank which takes place on May 10th, probably from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. This would be a firecracker feud given the enriched history between the two superstars. Starting from next week, the feud will start unfolding, even more.
