Pakistan Super League ( 2023) has now faced another trouble after managing 12 matches so far, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has called an emergency meeting with all six owners after Punjab’s Government asked for Rs.450 million Pakistani Rupees. It is likely to happen that Karachi (Sindh) will host the remaining matches of PSL 2023.

the provincial government has submitted a bill of Rs.450 million Pakistani Rupees (PKR) in security costs to host the tournament in Lahore and Rawalpindi. In addition to the already-paid amount of Rs.50 million PKR for the same purpose, that amount also includes the costs the government incurred for hosting matches in Multan.

Matches in Multan have already been completed with the last match, Lahore Qalandars’ next match is scheduled in Lahore on Sunday. The capital city of Punjab province, Lahore is the designated venue for the PSL 8 final, one qualifier and two eliminators with fans in the Gaddafi Stadium as well as Rawalpindi having already bought tickets for the games.

Earlier, the PCB announced the new edition of PSL will have a total of 34 matches in Multan, Peshawar, Lahore, and Karachi. PSL 2023 kicked off on 13th February 2023, it is the 8th edition of the PCB-managed T20 League. In the opening match at Multan Cricket Stadium, defending champions Lahore Qalandars beat Multan Sultans by 1 run.
In the points table of PSL 8, last edition runner-ups, Multan based club are at the top of the table with four wins out of five matches it played this season. While defending champions Qalandars is in the third spot with two wins out of three matches, Quetta Gladiators are at the bottom of the roll with one win out of four games it played.
In PSL 2023, Sarfaraz Ahmed-led  Quetta will take on Islamabad United on 24th February at National Stadium in Karachi.
