Despite being the second top scorer in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Delhi Capitals (DC) captain David Warner is under the radar of the fans because of his slow strike rate, while veteran Indian pacer, Sreesanth backed Warner to prove his critics wrong in the impending RCB vs DC clash.
Capitals had lost four games in a row in the 16th edition of the IPL, whereas, the star Aussie player was appointed skipper of Delhi after their regular skipper, Rishabh Pant was unavailable for the season due to injury following a horror crash.
Sreesanth stated that David Warner is one of the toughest guys to bowl-
“The hunger for runs never dies for David Warner. He’s a typical Aussie, who’s always determined to dominate the cricket pitch. I’ve enjoyed bowling to him as he’s been one of the toughest batters to bowl to,” said the veteran Indian pacer.
Earlier, former Indian all-rounder, Irfan Pathan mentioned Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper, David Warner’s slow strike in his tweet. Pathan said that Warner’s strike rate should also be pointed out along with Virat Kohli and KL Rahul. Whereas, Warner in the last game against Mumbai Indians (MI) scored 51 runs off 47 balls.
“How come no one pointing out the strike rate of David Warner?? He is been playing with a low strike for quite some time now…,” put down by Irfan on Twitter.
