Smackdown Live had a good start with a Daniel Bryan promo. This master-mind heel knows every trick to keep the fans disgusted on him. The other superstars can learn from him how to keep on receiving boos despite his early status as a natural babyface superstar. The segment got even more heated up with the arrival of Mustafa Ali. We certainly did not expect to see a Cruiserweight jump into the scene.
These two delivered a huge matchup that we never thought of seeing, ever. The bad part is that we missed most of the daredevil stunts from Ali as he performed those during the commercial break. Nonetheless, it was good to see a fresh matchup to start Smackdown Live on a good note. Daniel Bryan picked up another solid win heading into WWE TLC. The heel is a clear favorite against AJ Styles in the WWE Championship match.
WWE continued with the weird but interesting angle between The Miz and Shane McMahon on Smackdown. For weeks now, they are trying to set them up as a tag team between these two superstars with opposite characteristics. Some may not like the idea. But this angle should create something big around the Royal Rumble or even at a time when Wrestlemania 34 season picks up.
There were some decent segments with a lot of talking during the middle of the show. A rap battle featuring all three tag teams could have been a better one. But it did not disappoint, either. The tag team match featuring Hardy, Nakamura, Rusev, and Joe was a fun matchup. It came up with a predicted finish where Rusev pinned Nakamura. This will make him the number one contender for the US Championship.
Charlotte Flair and Asuka deserve kudos for delivering yet another firecracker at the end of Smackdown. It was a back and forth going contest from the get-go where we could barely blink our eyes. A disqualification was the right way to call the match off. WWE does not want any of the two superstars to lose momentums before WWE TLC. Asuka looked strong while closing the show after a long time.
It was another decent episode of Smackdown, overall and you can take a look at the Twitter reactions, here,
