So the landscape of WWE Smackdown Live changed upside down, last night. That was not the only thing as it also changed the lineups for Survivor Series. It is really unthinkable that WWE indeed changes two of the main events of the PPV event just five days prior to the show. There will be no buildup for the Champion vs. Champion matches which are sure-shot Wrestlemania main events on any given day.

From the get-go of the show, we hinted that something was fishy about AJ Styles’ WWE Championship reign. Unless, why would they book him in an impromptu title match against AJ Styles? Paul Heyman came out mentioning Daniel Bryan was a major indication that something big was waiting for him later of the show. We got more confirmations from the words of Smackdown general manager.

Paige informed The Miz that Daniel Bryan will no more be co-captains from Smackdown. This was a major hint that we might crown a new WWE Champion by the end of the night. Jeff Hardy appeared to be a suitable replacement. But then again this made last week’s qualifying match irrelevant by all the means. The high-flying superstar could be an asset to Team Blue in the prestigious tag team match.

Becky Lynch received a concussion as a result of the invasion on Monday Night Raw. So they had to call off the earlier announced match against Ronda Rousey. This put Charlotte Flair on the spotlight against the Raw women’s champion. It is like ‘Wrestlemania comes early’ for the fans at Survivor Series. We will eagerly wait to see how this match plays out on this Sunday without any such buildup.

Daniel Bryan shocked the world by pinning AJ Styles on Smackdown main event. He is the new WWE Champion by virtue of this win. But the significant part is that he also turned heel which was a long-time coming. His comeback from retirement fell short after the initial hypes. So he needed this villainous turn by all means to get some natural heats. This would help him to re-establish his legacy in the WWE, going forward.
