Review & Twitter Reactions From This Week’s WWE Raw: December 31, 2018 1

WWE Raw TV ratings did not witness much of the uprise that it was expecting. But that is not due to the lack of quality contents. Two back to back shows happened in a taped format that let the spoilers out on the internet. This forced some of the viewers to skip the flagship show bringing the viewership down. But the overall contents of the show since the McMahons’ return, have been good enough. WWE creative team is working hard with the available limited options.

The opening contest of the night was a steel cage match between Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler. This would have been a lackluster match due to the repetitive lineup. But the stipulation made it a must-see and the two veterans delivered a solid match. McIntyre picked up a dominant win over the show-off as he is the future of WWE Raw. This win will let him enter 2019 with the biggest momentum by his side.

Triple H was back on WWE Raw to fire up his former disciple. Seth Rollins does not deserve to stick in the mid-card level, anymore. He needs to go into the main event spotlight to change the scene, as early as possible. The process has started from last night onwards as hinted by the COO of the company. Rollins showed him the ruthless side of him by punishing Bobby Lashley whom we also know as the Almighty.

WWE is desperately trying to give a push towards Apollo Crews for the past few weeks. The problem is that he was doing nothing on WWE Raw for the last two years. So the trying to bring him on the upper card of the roster might not work well, for now. This is why Dean Ambrose was able to pick up the win in the IC title match. But Crews can establish himself in the mid-card level if the officials continue to keep him on TV in a significant role.

Ronda Rousey featured in the main event of WWE Raw, as expectedly. This lady has been the other carrier of the flagship show apart from Rollins. So closing 2018 putting ‘the baddest woman on the planet’ seemed the valiant option for the officials. It was a random tag team match, however. Thanks to the work ethics of Ronda Rousey though that the match looked decent.

Overall, another average episode of WWE Raw followed from Detroit, Michigan that had something fresh on the card. Here are the Twitter reactions from the show.
