The opener of Smackdown Live was a predictable one where Charlotte Flair appeared to receive thunderous boos. The social media was eating her alive after she stole Becky’s Wrestlemania spotlight. So it was certain that The Queen arrived to let all of that sink in from the audience. That was a full-fledged heel-turn from the seven-time women’s champion. The potential Wrestlemania main event buildup has been solid, to date. We hope this would continue for the next 50 days until the show arrives.
Changes made at Elimination Chamber
The opening contest of Smackdown Live was a random triple threat tag team match that meant nothing. The buildup for the historic women’s tag team title match has become stale for the past couple of weeks. Random tag matches did not help to raise interests among the fans. Rather people are talking more about the injury of Sasha Banks whose Chamber future looks uncertain.
The McMiz TV was turning out to be a boring one unless The Usos became the savior. The audience was really backing these two up for the most part of the segment. The Twins gave it back with the mic and their presence proving why they are the best tag teams in the present WWE. Unfortunately, they might not be able to overcome the so-called co-besties at Elimination Chamber.
Kofi Kingston’s performance was of an inhuman during the Gauntlet match on Smackdown. It was incredible to see a middle-aged man like him to wrestle for over one hour in a match. There might be a reason why the creative team allowed him to pin the WWE Champion. This might create a fresh feud between the two of them as we move forward to Wrestlemania 35.
The fact that Kofi Kingston continued to wrestler names like Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe or AJ Styles indicates that he might get a singles run, moving forward. As a fan, we should not complain either to see this on Smackdown. This man deserves a run with the WWE Championship after continuing the career for over a decade. We expect him to steal the show even at Elimination Chamber, too.
This match brought a good buildup of Elimination Chamber for this Sunday night. Overall, it was an average episode of Smackdown to which the fans reacted as follows,

“I’ve been waiting too long for this! 11 years!” -Kofi
If that doesn’t give you chills, you need to check your pulse, man… that’s some deep shit. Kofi (and people who look like Kofi) have had to fight 2x as hard just to get what’s deserved. Like it or not. #SDLive
