The opening segment of Smackdown Live was fun where the officials used Becky Lynch as much as they could have. The women’s division of the blue brand is revolving around The Man. So it’s a good strategy to use her as much as possible and get the TV ratings boosted up. No doubt Asuka can a strong champion as well. But she is a no matchup to the Irish Lass-kicker. Especially when it comes to cutting promos, her ability is just nothing due to the language barrier.
Huge title match announced from Smackdown at Royal Rumble
Both the ladies got big wins heading into Royal Rumble title match those were expected. Another one got the momentums by his side that is Samoa Joe. He has already picked up some big wins on Jeff Hardy heading into the prestigious battle royal. Now he ambushed Mustafa Ali out of nowhere. Sure it did look him strong for that time being. But maybe more wins against heavier names can give a boost to his WWE career.
Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade turned out to be the show-stealer, yet again on Smackdown. These two just keep on going inside the ring that never makes us feel bored. The winner was the predictable one in the form of Andrade. Vega’s distraction helped him to pick up the big win over a legend. This could help him in the long run on the show. Also, WWE cutting his name short hints big-time plans should be in-store for him.
After last night’s Alexa Bliss uncovered segment, we received a hotel room sequence on Smackdown. Mandy Rose tried to seduce Jimmy Uso yet again, this time wearing lingerie! Some of the fans may not like it but it does garner more hits on the Youtube channel. Also, does it hint a change on WWE programming from now on? I hope they are not taking the women back into the previous eras.
Smackdown Live had another fun finish featuring the Miz and Shane McMahon. This storyline continues to elevate the pace with every passing week. Additionally, it was great to see WWE celebrating the birthday of the prodigal son. A short match was in reserve between The Miz and Sheamus to keep the ongoing feud going on. Shane ended the show on a happy note by hitting the amazing coast-to-coast on his birthday night.
So, overall it was another fun episode of Smackdown Live heading into Royal Rumble. Here are the Twitter reactions from the show,

Man, I LOVED Andrade vs. Mysterio.
The pacing, story, athleticism, execution – everything was on point. They created genuine excitement. I hope to tear it up with these both these guys at some point.

If Twitter was around during the Attitude Era, it would be so not fun to be on. If ya'll really think the Alexa Bliss dressing room thing and this Mandy Rose thing is bad, you wouldn't have lasted long back then.#SDLive #RAW pic.twitter.com/csygx8uPt4
