Samoa Joe’s WWE Career In Jeopardy Following Head Concussion

As reported previously, Samoa Joe suffered a number of injuries in recent times with the latest one being a head concussion. Apparently, it is the second time that he might have landed hard on the back of his head in 2020 that is now forcing him to stay out of action. Reportedly, the injury has got worsened to a deep extent putting his career in sheer jeopardy.

Pro Wrestling Sheet was the source who broke the news that WWE RAW superstar Samoa Joe suffered a head injury during a recent commercial shoot for the company. He got injured while doing a stunt who could be out of action for a long time. While breaking a table, his head went through it instead of his body weight,

“According to sources, the injury took place at a WWE commercial shoot last week when Joe hit his head during a bad table break as they were filming a stunt.

While it’s unconfirmed at this point, sources tell us Joe could be out of action for a considerable amount of time.”

Later, The Wrestling Observer confirmed that Samoa Joe suffered a head concussion and is expected to be ‘out of action for a while’. As of now, the backstage update within WWE is that the former United States Champion won’t be able to work at WrestleMania 36.

Furthermore, the same source posted an insider update on the injury indicating Samoa Joe could on ‘risky ground’ following the mishap,

“Now here’s the thing. Now we’re on risky ground because now we’ve had two concussions in a short period of time and you know that’s when it becomes really concerning.”

No timetable is provided on when the Samoan Submission Machine could make his comeback. But considering his illustrious history of injuries/concussions since joining the main roster of the WWE, the officials won’t be in a hurry to bring him back.

Before going into the hiatus, Samoa Joe was involved in a feud against Seth Rollins and his heel faction featuring Buddy Murphy and AOP. In his absence, The Street Profits were included to provide back up for Owens.
