With Roman Reigns out of the scene on Smackdown, Shane McMahon targeted The Miz as his victim using the number game. Drew McIntyre and Elias accompanied him in the opening segment to be the special guest on Miz TV that set up two back to back matches for the show-host. He originally wanted to face Shane McMahon as his opponent. But Shane wanted him to defeat Elias and Drew McIntyre back to back in order to reach to McMahon.

So the first match was underway on Smackdown where The Miz had to survive a huge powerbomb by Elias and counter with Skull Crushing Finale to get the win. McIntyre pounced on him, thereafter as the second match started for The Miz, right away. Distractions from McMahon allowed McIntyre to hit the Claymore on Miz and put him down for good. Shane wanted to punish his Wrestlemania 35 opponent and hence rang the bell to apply a chokehold on The Miz to pass him out and win the third match of the night.
WWE Super ShowDown witnessed a huge first-time ever matchup between Shane McMahon and Roman Reigns. This was the culmination of a feud that spanned over both WWE Raw and Smackdown Live. The Big Dog fought valiantly but fell short to the number-games from the heel superstars. Drew McIntyre was standing by ringside providing upper-hand to the authority figure.
This ended up WWE Raw celebrating a party in the honor of Shane McMahon from Super ShowDown,
“Last night on Raw, Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre threw a Super ShowDown celebration to gloat over The Best in The World’s victory against The Big Dog last Friday in Jeddah. The Scottish Terminator also vowed to maim Reigns beyond recognition when the two clash at WWE Stomping Grounds on Sunday, June 23. Will The Big Dog have anything to say in response?”
Obviously, we did not anticipate the program to go down well as Roman Reigns would be looking to get payback on Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre. However, WWE kept him aside for some reasons from the scene as he did not appear in front of the audience on this week’s WWE Raw or Smackdown. However, he claimed redemption against Drew McIntyre at Stomping Grounds in a pre-taped vignette.
