As reported in recent times, WWE has high hopes around SmackDown female roster member, Sonya Deville. She also has a lot of goals both in and outside of WWE. She believes in herself who does see bigger things in the future. Her vision is so big that she could match up to the level of The Queen of the WWE, Charlotte Flair if given the right amount of opportunities.
The Sun recently spoke to Sonya Deville where they brought Charlotte Flair into the conversation, especially how entitled the Flair clan is. Deville stated that Flair does deliver with her opportunities and WWE banks on that. She could do the same if WWE booked her in the same fashion. She also stressed on the belief that she could be as successful as Flair if WWE does set her up, that way.
Sonya Deville Hopeful WWE Would Soon Run A Lesbian Angle With Her
“Yeah, I mean, it’s a two-fold question because it’s like, does she get opportunities because of who she is? Maybe, but does she deliver every single time? For sure.
I’m the same way where anything you throw at me, I’m going to deliver and I think a lot of the women in the locker room are going to show up every single day if given the opportunities, they’re gonna work their butt off. I am certainly so you could throw anything at me. If I’m given the same opportunities as Charlotte Flair, I will be as big if not bigger than Charlotte.”
Sonya Deville also mentioned how the “Daddy Deville” character could give tough competition to The Queen gimmick if WWE lets her run with it. Deville is the first openly admitted lesbian superstar in WWE history. She is incredibly influential with the LGBTQA+ community and represents them with immense pride. WWE could always use this alliance to help their public relations.
Thus it’s a confirmed thing that they could get mainstream attention via Sonya Deville if they do utilize her in a good way. For those who don’t know, she used to be a professional MMA fighter before coming to WWE. So she could produce some quality wrestling matches like UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey.
Additionally, Sonya Deville is also eyeing for the Batwoman role and WWE is also backing him up to get on board. If she could snatch that role then more eyes from mainstream TV will be on her. This will automatically allow her to get a push on WWE creative perspective. As of now, Deville remains focused to set herself up as a singles competitor after splitting up with former Fire n Desire member, Mandy Rose.
