After a long wait, Toni Storm had arrived on Smackdown by making an appearance on the July 24 episode that was the second blue brand show with the fans in attendance. Given the newbie’s experience all over the world, she has been touted to be a bright future star of the women’s division. But then again, WWE proved their inability to utilize the up-and-coming NXT talents by keeping her out of action for more than six weeks.
On the September 3 episode of Smackdown, Toni Storm made her return by featuring in a backstage segment. Dolph Ziggler approached her before his singles match against Rick Boogs. Ziggler thought that former NXT UK Women’s Champion was a fan of his but he was taken back when she revealed she was actually rooting for Boogs in their bout. With IC Champion King Nakamura in his corner, Boogs eventually won the match.
Then on Talking Smack, Kayla Braxton spoke with Toni Storm about her likings toward Boogs and what it is about him that she enjoys so much.
“Don’t get me wrong, Dolph Ziggler is great. But Rick Boogs, he’s like Eddie Van Halen in wrestling boots,” the Australian star proclaimed. “I’m just a big fan, and you know, he’s cool!”

Braxton then proceeded with their interview by asking Toni Storm who she has her eye on now that she’s part of the blue brand. In reply, the promising star said that she needs to watch quite closely, moving forward. She is focused on becoming a future champion and hence the top stars of the blue brand are on her radar.
“I mean, I said from the beginning, I’m wasting no time. I’ve got my eye on Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, and all of the top girls,” Toni Storm announced. “I guess now I’ve got my eye on Zelina Vega. Yeah, I feel like I need to keep an eye out [on her].”
It should be mentioned that Zelina Vega interrupted the interview by blasting Toni Storm’s fashion choice. Vega offered her one of her t-shirts and then just walked away.
“Toni Storm. You’re the new girl here, right? I don’t think you understand the kind of mistakes that you’re making,” Vega said. “Your outfit is atrocious. You should be thankful that Dolph would even look in your direction. Clearly, his sunglasses must have been fogged up or something. Just look at you. Your outfit is crazy. During her debut match, Toni Storm defeated Zelina Vega in a singles contest and by the looks, it appears that we are going to get a feud between these two over on Smackdown.
