Tottenham Hotspur have secured the signings of Juventus duo Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur. North London giants were criticised for a lack of transfer activity lately but now have signed two high-profile midfielders to boost up their chances to finish this season in a top-four position in Premier League.
Dejan Kulusevski has already completed his medical in London today and there will be an official announcement in the afternoon. Bentancur is also flying to London for his medical and the Spurs are looking to unveil both signings together. Tottenham Hotspur are also in contact with Juventus striker Alvaro Morata who is on loan from Atletico Madrid but are unlikely to pull this deal due to time restrictions.
Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to the Dejan Kulusevski loan deal which includes full wages plus an option to buy for £33 million if they qualify for the Champions League next season. The 21-year-old Swedish star will be the first winter signing for Antonio Conte who wanted Kulusevski at Inter Milan last year.
Tottenham director Fabio Partici played a big role in the deal as it was shim who signed the player for Juventus two years ago. Kulusevski is capable of playing on both wings and centre midfield and has scored 2 goals and assisted 3 more in 27 matches this season.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the 24-year-old Rodrigo Bentancur deal is also secured and done already. The player is on his way to London and will have medical soon. Both clubs have agreed on a £25 million transfer fee(including bonuses) and the player has agreed to a five-year deal. This is one of the best signings for Lillywhites who are struggling mainly in central midfield positions. The Uruguayan is a natural deep-lying midfielder and could be key in Conte’s 3-4-3 formation.
Tottenham Hotspur Closing On Bryan Gill, Tanguy Ndombele, and Giovani Lo Celso Exit:
Tottenham Hotspur are also working on midfield departure this week and have secured an exit for Bryan Gill, Tanguy Ndombele, and Giovani Lo Celso. All three players are set to leave on different loan deals and this suggests a big change in transfer policy as all of them were new signings at North London.
The 20-year-old Spanish winger, Bryan Gill, arrived from Sevilla just 7 months ago and now loaned out La Liga giants Valencia. Gill made 13 overall appearances this season but failed to score or assist any goal at Lillywhites. Argentine attacking midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is closing on a La Liga loan move with Villarreal but the deal will proceed after an official arrival of Rodrigo Bentancur.

Tanguay Ndombele is set to rejoin French giants Olympique Lyonnais on loan with an option to buy. Lyons and Spurs have agreed on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy at the end of this season. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that this deal is facing some tax issues but it will not be an issue. He cost North London giants a club-record fee of £65 million in 2019 but failed to live up to the fans expectations at Spurs. He scored 10 goals in overall 91 matches for Tottenham, including 2 goals in 12 matches this season.
