One of the latest additions to the jam-packed NXT roster is Finn Balor who returned to his home-brand following his comeback from the hiatus.
It was a good idea owing to the fact that he literally did nothing significant on the main roster for the past three years. A solid run on his brand alongside a heel turn could bring back his A-game. The same rule can be applied to Shinsuke Nakamura, as well.

Now that Finn Balor’s show-up on NXT appeared to be a success, it looks like another former NXT Champion could be making his return to Wednesday nights.
Shinsuke Nakamura had a dream run on NXT after arriving at the United States from Japan. But he lost his mojo after arriving on the main roster. Probably, heading back to the scene could do something wonderful to his character.
According to the reports of Slice Wrestling, the head of the NXT brand, Triple H is trying to convince Vince McMahon to put Shinsuke Nakamura back on NXT.
Triple H Not Returning To In-Ring Competition, Anytime Soon
He feels that the King of Strong Styles could help NXT in their rating war against AEW Dynamite on Wednesday nights. For almost an entire part of this war, AEW has beaten NXT in viewership.
Below is a few more reasons why Shinsuke Nakamura moving to NXT could be a good option for WWE, (according to wwfoldschool.com)
“Nakamura moving to NXT could be a good decision for him as he lives in Florida (the site of NXT). Nakamura is currently the Intercontinental Champion on SmackDown.
Speaking of NXT, there have also been talks of doing an NXT match at WrestleMania 36 next year. This would allow NXT to get more mainstream exposure, which will eventually help in the rating war against AEW Dynamite.”
Currently, Shinsuke Nakamura is having the second Intercontinental title reign of his career on Friday Night SmackDown. Just like the first of his mid-card title reign, this one has also fallen short to expectation.
Sami Zayn working as the mouthpiece of the champion is the only significant thing about this whole ongoing storyline. If he somehow drops the belt in due course, chances would be high that WWE may plan to shift him towards NXT.
