Smackdown kicked off with another exciting segment between Daniel Bryan and The Miz. The IT couple almost fooled Bryan, as Maryse pretended to get injured. However, Bryan somehow caught their acting and backfired to keep The Miz down. The bad news is that Maryse will no more be in Miz’s corner from now on, as she is focussing on motherhood.
The opening contest on Smackdown was far more entertaining. Cesaro is a treat to watch, as a singles performer. And when it comes to entertainment, no one does it better than The New Day.
So this match set the tone for the rest of the show. Cesaro won the match, as The Bar is keeping momentum en route to their title match.
The match between AJ Styles and Andrade Cien Almas was a classic one. These two are in-ring technicians who can put on great contests without any notice. It was the second time they came up with such an incredible match. It is certain Almas will receive a big push in the near future after coming up with a stellar performance.
Smackdown witnessed a shocking fallout between Rusev and Aiden English on the show. The surprising thing is that even Lana was taking Aiden English’ side. Rusev was the one to blame Lana for his failure at Hell in a Cell. So she insisted on Aiden to distract her husband during last night’s US title match. A big fallout is waiting in this scenario, next week.
The main event segment witnessed an out and out brawl between Charlotte and Becky Lynch. The expectations were that we might see the new champion turning into a face from now onwards. But she continued her heel mode to insult The Queen. It started the chaos where Becky gained the upper hand. It’s good to see her standing tall over Charlotte for weeks. It would help her to get a strong title run.
It was a decent episode of Smackdown Live following up Hell in a Cell PPV event. Check out the Twitter reactions,
