Smackdown Live opened with a hilarious segment featuring R-Truth and Carmella. The starting of Truth TV replacing the Miz TV was a really fun concept. The alignment of Truth and Carmella itself was a good idea to make them relevant names on the Tuesday Night show. Weekly appearances on TV on a regular basis can do wonder for them.

Sheamus and Big E delivered yet another fun match on Smackdown. They started the opening contest in a funny verbal altercation. The New Day was able to take the upper hand in the beginning sequence. But Sheamus from the Bar made a good comeback picking up the win. It was a certain result in favor of the challenging team who will get a title match at Super Show Down.

The storyline angle between Rusev and Aiden English has certainly become interesting. ‘That one night’ in Milwaukee can certainly create a rift between Rusev and Lana. This might turn out to be a romantic triangle kind of storyline which is always an added attraction for the fans. Meanwhile, it will also elevate the current status of Aiden English on the roster.

It was good to see Tye Dillinger coming back on Smackdown TV and especially in competition. Going into an angle against Randy Orton is the best that he can expect at this time to make himself a significant character on the show. He needed a breakthrough for a long time. It looks like the creative team is finally pulling the trigger for him handing away a feud against Orton.

The final segment of Smackdown Live was also a good one that had verbal jabs. AJ Styles and Samoa Joe penned down their signatures on the championship contract to make the Super Show Down match official. But the segment did not quite go well with verbal jabs from Joe. He continues to take shots towards the champion claiming to be the new daddy for AJ’s children.

This ended the show on a heated note. Overall, it was a pretty decent effort from the officials to put on a fresh show for us. Check out the Twitter reactions from Denver edition of Smackdown Live,
