Twitter showers praise on Yogeshwar Dutt after he says no to silver medal 1

Indian wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt showed a beautiful gesture when he took to Twitter to say that he wants Russian wrestler Besik Kudukhov’s family to keep the silver medal that he won at the London Olympics.

Besik Kudukhov had originally won the silver medal in 2012 but was  later found positive for dope test and as a result of Dutt, who had won a bronze at London, was all set to see his bronze medal upgraded to silver. The news was confirmed by Yogeshwar through Twitter two days back, but on Wednesday (August 31), the 33-year-old tweeted that he wants the medal to be with Kudukhov’s family.

Kudukhov, a four-time world champion and two-time Olympic medallist, had died in a car accident in 2013. His samples from the London games were retested and were found positive for a banned substance.

Dutt’s gesture won each and every fans’ heart and as expected they showered praise on Dutt for his exemplary sportsmanship.
