Belgium just survived from losing top spot in the points table after securing a 1-1 draw against Greece through a late goal. On the other hand, Bosnia-Herzegovina thumped Gibraltar by 5-0 while Cyprus held Estonia to a goalless draw.
Kostas Mitroglou’s scored (46’) at just the beginning of the second half to put Greece ahead by 1-0. Despite trying hard, hosts Belgium couldn’t find their opener. On 65 minutes, Greece was down to 10-man after Panagiotis Tachtsidis was shown red card due to his second yellow card (he got the first yellow card in 29 minutes) in the match.
Romelu Lukaku secured a point for the hosts with a goal on 89 minutes. In the addition, Greece defender Giorgos Tzavellas (90’+5’) was sent off just before the end of the match. With this draw, Belgium (13 points) and Greece (11 points) remained at the 1st and 2nd spot respectively in the points table.
Meanwhile, Bosnia–Herzegovina clinched a thumping victory against Gibraltar by 5-0. Vedad Ibisevic (4’ and 43’) scored first two-goal lead in the first half which was stretched in the second half by a goal each from Avdija Vrsajevic (52′), Edin Visca (56′) and Ermin Bicakcic (90’+4′)
In the meantime, hosts Cyprus and Estonia made a goalless draw.
