In the Group F matches, England and Scotland assured victories against their respective visitors while Slovakia beat hosts Malta by 3-1.

Hosts England clinched a convincing victory against Lithuania by 2-0. Jermain Defoe opened the scoreline for the hosts on 21 minutes which was extended at later in the second half by Jamie Vardy (66’). With this victory, England is standing on the top of the table with 13 points.

In the meantime, Scotland edged out Slovenia through a late goal by Chris Martin (88’). Substitute Martin’s goal keeps alive Scotland’s chance to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

On the other hand, Slovakia earned a 3-1 victory against the hosts Malta. Vladimir Weiss opened the scoreline early for Slovakia on just 2 minutes while Jean-Paul Farrugia made square the scoreline for the hosts (1-1) on 14 minutes. Just before the half-time, Jan Gregus (41’) provided the 2-1 lead for Slovakia.

Few minutes after Farrugia was sent off due to two yellow cards (47’ and 78’), Adam Nemec (84’) added another goal for Slovakia to secure their victory. However, Adam Nemec was also sent off during the injury time of the second half due to his second yellow card (40’ and 90’+1’), but that did not affect his team.
