Serbia 3 (Mijat Gacinovic 20′; Aleksandar Kolarov 30′; Aleksandar Mitrovic 81′) – Moldova 0

Serbia is currently top of the Group D after beating Moldova by 3-0. Mijat Gacinovic opened the scoreline for the hosts Serbia on 20 minutes which was extended by Aleksandar Kolarov and Aleksandar Mitrovic on 30 minutes and 81 minutes respectively.

 

 

Georgia 1 (Valeri Qazaishvili 34′) – Republic of Ireland 1 (Shane Duffy 4′)

Host Georgia got a draw against the Republic of Ireland as the game finished 1-1. Shane Duffy put the visitors 1-0 ahead on just 4 minutes of the match. Duffy produced a header from a free-kick which beat Georgia’s goalie.

Valeri Qazaishvili equalized the score in the 34th minute. This draw hurt Republic of Ireland’s chance to direct qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup as, currently, they are in the second position of Group D and two points behind from the group topper Serbia.

 

Wales 1 (Ben Woodburn 74′) – Austria 0

Wales remained in the fight to qualification for the next year’s FIFA World Cup after beating Austria 1-0. Making an international debut, 17-year old Liverpool forward Ben Woodburn scored the only goal of the match with a sensational strike just outside the box.
