UEFA WC Qualifiers Round-Up: Spain Beat Italy; Croatia-Kosovo Match Abandoned 1

Group I

Finland 1 (Alexander Ring 8′) – Iceland 0

An early goal from Alexander Ring brought a 1-0 victory for the hosts Finland against the 10-man Iceland.  The New York City midfielder Alexander Ring scored the solitary goal in the 8th minutes with a fabulous free-kick shot.

Visitors’ substitute Rurik Gislason was sent off on 75 minutes after receiving two yellow cards in quick successions (73’ and 75’).

 

Croatia – Kosovo (Match abandoned in 22nd minute)

A continuous heavy rain caused the football pitch unplayable which was forced to call off the game between Croatia and Kosovo. The match started on schedule time but failed to continue after 21 minutes and 22 seconds while the scoreline was showing 0-0.

  

Ukraine 2 (Andriy Yarmolenko 18’ & 42’) – Turkey 0

Andriy Yarmolenko’s brace helped Ukraine to clinch a 2-0 victory over Turkey. The new Borussia Dortmund forward scored two goals in the 18th minutes and 42nd minutes which were failed to reply by the visitors’ Turkey.
