WWE always keeps the doors open for UFC stars to make appearances under their banner when the time is right. Jon Jones is the latest inclusion in the cross-brand context.
During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion was asked whether there’s a possibility of working in the WWE in the future.
Major Wrestlemania 36 Match To Get Confirmed At WWE NXT Takeover?
Jon Jones came out with a positive answer noting that we would see him competing in a WWE ring, someday.
Below is the MMA fighter had to offer,
“I think it’s inevitable. I’ve always respected WWE, and I feel like sports can be so similar.
I have the size and athleticism and the following to transition over really well. To get the opportunity to just show up, even as a special guest, would be a dream come true.” (courtesy wwfoldschool.com)

How The Rock’s Daughter Simone Johnson Doing Upon Joining WWE?
We should note that Jon Jones is that particular name who called out Brock Lesnar for a fight, back in 2017. Speculations started running high around a match inside the Octagon featuring these two names. Even Jones was rumored to potentially debuting in a WWE ring which never happened. But it does not mean that it won’t happen in the future, either.

WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley Lashes Out At Fan Over Body-Shaming
Roman Reigns is doing media for WrestleMania 37 announcement in Hollywood for the past couple of days and he noted on these comments passed by Jon Jones. While speaking to TMZ, he said that this man has what it takes to be pro-wrestler, someday. But he is not concerned about facing off the MMA sportsperson, at all,
“He’s definitely got tools. There’s no doubt he’s a bad man, but obviously what we do is a little bit different than the Octagon and it’s gonna be a different travel schedule and different demands. I definitely think he’s got a great name and a great work ethic and he’s got a huge career that’s still going in MMA.”
“I would say keep your eye on the ball now, Jon. Don’t worry about WWE. I definitely think there could be a future for him if he could put in the time and transition and develop the skills that we use.” (courtesy ringsidenews.com)
Roman Reigns Wants Match Against The Rock At WWE Wrestlemania 37
The Big Dog also responded after getting hit by the question whether he’d be ready to face Jon Jones if he ever steps foot to the squared circle,
“Oh yeah for sure. Someone like Jon Jones if you’re gonna step in a WWE ring you most likely wanna be in there with the Big Dog.”
“It would be a hell of a fight. But when it comes to the squared circle, I don’t think there’s anybody better in the world [than me]. So, yeah, I feel VERY comfortable being in the ring with Jon Jones.”
Jon Jones could definitely be a big draw for WWE being a big cross-over star from the MMA industry. Vince McMahon will be happy to bring him to the company and make him a WWE Superstar, someday where Roman Reigns will be waiting with a challenge. Right now, he’s an active fighter in the UFC and would be focused in his ongoing stint.
