The last time we have seen AJ Styles on WWE TV was at the Boneyard Match hosted at WrestleMania 36 from an unknown set in Florida. It was the most successful and cinematic match that WWE has ever presented to us.
The finish witnessed Undertaker burying AJ with soil in the grave. It felt so real that for once Wikipedia also thought that AJ was dead, for real.
Details How WWE Shot Boneyard Match Between Undertaker & AJ Styles
The former WWE Champion is well alive and waiting patiently for making a comeback to the WWE after a brief hiatus. The company is using superstars strategically these days in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
AJ Styles appears to be one of those lucky names who was given time-off. But a superstar like his status is not supposed to sit out of the context for a long time on the flagship show of WWE.
According to the reports of Wrestling Observer, AJ Styles will be out of action for “some time” following the Boneyard Match with The Undertaker that has already become a benchmark. The source updated that The Phenomenal One is a marquee player for the Monday Night Raw roster and the company doesn’t want to sit him out of the show for too long.
Big Update On The Undertaker & WWE Survivor Series 2020 Plans
Given the fact that he’s one of the two top heels on Monday nights, AJ Styles will have to be back on the show, anyway. As of now, the other top heel, Seth Rollins is engaged in a feud with the WWE Champion Drew McIntyre that would produce a matchup at Money In The Bank 2020.

Chances are pretty high that Drew will retain his title as the company wants to build him as the new top babyface of the red brand. So, AJ Styles becomes the automatic second choice to be his opponent following the comeback.
With that being said, chances are pretty high that AJ Styles may be brought to WWE Raw just after Money In The Bank is passed by. As for the other WWE absentee, Roman Reigns, The Observer noted that there’s no timetable is available when he comes back. He backed out of WrestleMania due to concerns of the Coronavirus outbreak and might not return until and unless the pandemic dies down.
AJ Styles recently received a piece of bad news as WWE released his long-term friends in the company, The OC-Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson. He was seen devastated with the news and put the blames on himself that he couldn’t take care of his buddies,
“That one hurt really bad,” AJ Styles said. “The only way I can explain it is that these guys are my family and I couldn’t take care of my little brothers. I didn’t manage to do that and I feel responsible for them being released. It’s devastating.”
