In an interesting situation, we have not seen veteran wrestler Samoa Joe in action within WWE for quite sometimes. He is a member of the Monday Night Raw roster who has not shown up for TV tapings for the past couple of months. WWE has not either confirmed his current status which started some speculations about him. He’s still reportedly not medically cleared to compete.

As reported by Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Samoa Joe’s 30-day WWE Wellness Policy suspension expired in time for the WrestleMania 36 tapings. But he still has not been cleared from the most recent concussion. Joe has an illustrious history of injuries since the beginning days on the main roster that apparently caused him in two WrestleManias.

In this case, the situation looks to be pretty serious as he can’t get rid of the concussion protocols for quite sometimes. It was noted to be ahead concussion that was bothering him for quite sometimes.

He reinjured the same spot while filming for the latest Monday Night Raw ad that is the said reason why WWE doctors are yet to give clearance for in-ring competition. Here’s more via wrestlingINC.com,

“Joe suffered a concussion during the shoot for WWE’s “RAW: Must Be Monday” commercial, seen above. The injury came when he took the table spot from The Authors of Pain. The concussion from this commercial shoot was his second concussion in less than 1 month.”

The former United States Champion was out of action for a major part of 2019 due to concussion issues that seem to be continuing this year, too. There’s no update on when he would be coming back to action.

Samoa Joe suffered a broken thumb back in September which forced him to sit out of action until late December. He then suffered a head concussion while performing a suicidal dive on the January 27 RAW episode.

He then returned to action for one week, and then suffered the second concussion at the commercial shoot in early February. Following that, he was tested positive to violate the WWE Wellness Policy and thus got sentenced to a punishment for 30 days.
