Handicap Match for the WWE Universal Title
The Miz and John Morrison vs. Braun Strowman (c)
Never in history, we saw co-WWE Champions and that shouldn’t be the case at Backlash 2020, either. WWE has presented Strowman with the combined force of Miz and Morrison only so that he can showcase his dominance as the Universal Champion. After all, he’d have to be getting ready to the inhuman Fiend, at some point. Perhaps, WWE just wants the reigning champion to get over as the strong one when he demolishes two veterans at the same time. Chances are less that Strowman drops the belt on Sunday.
WWE Title Match
Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre (c)
This match stands 50-50, at this point. While WWE plans to keep McIntyre as a long-time babyface champion, they’ve also been rooting for a title run for Bobby Lashley. Especially after hiring MVP as the new manager, he sees big things coming for him, this summer. It could be an indication that WWE might have planned a surprise title switch at Backlash. Going by the history of this unpredictable pay-per-view event, anything can end up happening in this match and we must be prepared to have a new WWE Champion.
Edge vs. Randy Orton
It’s certain that seeing The Greatest Wrestling Match ever isn’t possible at this point when both these two stars are past their prime. But without a doubt, these two will put up a show-stealing performance to be remembered, forever. It will also help the WWE Universe to get rid of the bitter experience they had during the Last Man Standing match at Wrestlemania 36. In the end, chances are high Orton will settle the score with the Hall of Famer. He is likely to cheat his way to steal the win against his former Rated RKO partner.
