It’s no secret that WWE programming is going through a major issue for quite sometimes. Both WWE Raw and Smackdown Live TV viewership has taken a major hit in recent times. Lack of quality contents that could force the fans to stick on TV has been the main reason behind it. So many believe that there should be an abrupt change to occur something positive.

In an effort to do so, WWE Raw may be bringing some changes to their contents in the future. There’s no update from when we could expect them to be effective but it should be leaving a positive outcome at the very end. WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley recently revealed that the company might be bringing back Attitude Era elements those were the most popular among fans.
Mick Foley appeared in an interview with Busted Open Radio to disclose the same. This will be a direct effort to increase WWE Raw viewership in the third hour. The last portion of the weekly show has witnessed the poorest TV ratings which need to have more impactful segments in order to audience retention.
So Mick Foley hinted that WWE may use the old Attitude Era tactics those were a hit amongst the WWE Universe, (h/t to Fight Ful for the transcription),
“The idea is that the third hour is going to get rougher, wilder, and more unpredictable. When I was GM, I knew that people were breaking towards the SmackDown show because it was the darling of the Internet.”
Now there’s obviously no clarifications available on how the implementation of the same will happen on WWE Raw. But there’s no doubt that the change will have to do a lot around the brand new 24/7 Championship. After initial negative reaction by the fans, R-Truth and his title reign made this title as one of the talked topics around the internet.
Mick Foley himself returned to WWE Raw to premiere the new WWE 24/7 Championship. So he is very much anticipated about what’s to happen next on WWE Raw,
“The idea was ‘why don’t you try [having] the third hour.’ It was like a giant albatross around your neck. The third hour is really difficult. I think it’s an idea to have the third hour more unpredictable and more like the Attitude Era.”
