Cedric Alexander is the current Cruiserweight Champion on 205 Live. Alexander calls himself #theheartandsoul of the division.

Understandably, the journey of becoming the champion is quite a log for a champion like him. It was back in 2016 when WWE hosted the Cruiserweight Classic tournament on WWE Network. WWE Universe appreciated this effort a lot.

Moreover, we received a bright talent through this tournament during the second round. Alexander put on an instant classic against Kota Ibushi. He might have lost the match but the crowd was ‘over’ with him.

However, they recognized the athletic ability of him and started chanting ‘please sign Cedric’.

Nobody in this business can expect more respect than this. Triple H himself came out to endorse the future champion.

Making the dreams true for himself, the high-flyer from North Carolina is dragging the 205 Live Division. The process is continuing since January of this year when the then champion Enzo Amore got suspended for rape accusations.

Pertinently, Vince McMahon was so much angry with this incident and wanted to cancel 205 Live right there. It was guys like Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali, Drew Gulak or Kalisto who saved the brand.

Now, the champion is going through the best phase of his career he can take a shot to his predecessors.

Lio Rush, the controversial NXT superstar recently took an unnecessary shot to the Cruiserweight Champion. He talked about Alexander thinking himself to be a 39-year old Spiderman. The victim did not take this shot lightly and hot two birds with one stone.

The reply on Twitter was a fire-cracker. Cedric Alexander called Lio with a fake rapper who is just a wannabe like Enzo Amore.

(He did not take the name, directly) His career-end in the WWE was pathetic as the officials literally kicked him out of the building after the sexual assault case opened. The champ doubted whether the emerging talent might suffer the same consequence.

Lio Rush is another controversial name on the NXT roster. He made some bad comments about Emma getting released from the main roster.

WWE kept him aside from TV programming ever since then. But now he is heading to the 205 Live brand. It looks like the Twitter conversation has also initiated an upcoming rivalry between two cruiserweights.
