WWE superstars will be gearing up for the 2020 Royal Rumble event to kick off the WrestleMania season in style. Backstage planning around setting up the matches is reportedly going around, as of now.

As always the prestigious over the top rope matches will be there whereas there will be a set of championship matches, as well.

As carried in a report by wrestlingINC.com, the men’s and women’s division Royal Rumble matches will be there whereas WWE NXT Superstars will be ‘factored into’ the plans.

Update On A Huge Title Match Planning For WWE Royal Rumble 2020

Unlike the previous years, more male and female superstars from NXT will be involved in the main Rumble match, if the current reports are any indications.

As hinted by the source, “Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that the current plan for the 30-man and 30-woman matches is for there to be 10 RAW Superstars, 10 SmackDown Superstars, and 10 NXT Superstars in each.”

In comparison to the current Royal Rumble match plans, The 2019 edition of the pay-per-view featured a half-dozen NXT Superstars in the 30-woman match and just 3 NXT Superstars in the 30-man match.

The report also suggested that WWE will have to choose from the full NXT roster when filling up the Royal Rumble matches as the NXT and NXT UK crews will be onboard for the show. They will be participating in the Worlds Collide event that takes place the night before Royal Rumble 2020.

The inaugural pay-per-view event of 2020 that is Royal Rumble takes place on January 26th at the Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas. As reported earlier, Ronda Rousey is the current favorite to win the women’s division Rumble match who might go on to face Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 36.

As for the men’s division, Roman Reigns is the favorite one to pick up the win and challenge The Fiend Bray Wyatt at the main event of the biggest event of the year.
