AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan are set for a WWE Championship match at Crown Jewel PPV event. This is a dream match for the WWE Universe that could turn out to be the main event too for the show. Roman Reigns defending the Universal title was the actual closing match for Crown Jewel. But his absence after the Leukemia announcement could make the opening for the two Smackdown stars to go on to the main event.
Meanwhile, they teamed up on a special Smackdown 1000 edition last night to come up short. A miscommunication forced them to digest the loss against The Usos. It was shocking by all the means for the fans and hence they received a rematch, this week. AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan formed a dream tag team once again to take on against The Usos. Unfortunately for them, the outcome remained the same.

The match started in favor of the WWE Champion and the number one contender, though. Daniel Bryan started the match against Jimmy Uso who gave a shoulder block to Uso. Jey Uso made a quick tag into the match but received a huge clothesline from Bryan to go outside the ring. AJ Styles knocked down Jimmy too to send him outside.
Both of them flew onto the Usos to down them on the floor. Back in the ring, Jimmy and Jey started double-teaming to take control of the match. Jey trapped Daniel Bryan into a headlock to get the upper hand on Smackdown Live. Bryan managed to get out of the hold. The two hit each other with double clotheslines to go down. Both of them then tagged their respective partners.

AJ Styles hit a knee to the back of Jimmy Uso before locking in the Calf Crusher. Jey Uso broke the submission attempt as Daniel Bryan entered to send him out of the ring. Jimmy blocked a Phenomenal Forearm attempt by AJ who in turn attempted an overhead kick. Jimmy moved out causing AJ to hit Bryan with it. The miscommunication allowed Jimmy and Jey to hit a super-kick for the victory on Smackdown.
After the match, Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles had a backstage confrontation. The latter one confirmed that what happened last week was an accident. But he can’t say the same about AJ, this week. He even compared the WWE Champion with Pinocchio for telling lies. Well, that segment heated up the rivalry for the WWE championship between them for Crown Jewel.
