ToggleReports were out regarding Batista willing to make a full-time return to the WWE. He was campaigning for a long time to sign a deal with the company over the past few months. The bittersweet relationship with the company might have been a bar while doing so, as per the rumor mill. This was the primary reason for WWE not calling him out for Smackdown, too.
However, they did book Batista for the Smackdown 1000th episode. An official statement was out on the website of the WWE.com confirming the same. He will appear on the show as part of an Evolution reunion. The greatest faction in WWE’s history will reunite for one night only on tomorrow night when Smackdown comes live from the Capital One Arena in USA’s capital city.

It will be a treat to witness Triple H, Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Batista on the same page, again. However, there are further reports available on the internet claiming that The Animal is here to stay for a full-time stint. He might have signed a deal with the WWE which should be intact in months of follow allowing him to perform in some future matches.
Joe Peisich discussed this topic on Barnburner’s No Holds Barred podcast show to let us know about the same. He re-affirmed that Batista had signed a new deal with the WWE. It is a short-term contract that might last until Wrestlemania 35. He might appear in the dual-brand PPVs like Survivor Series and Royal Rumble events, as well. “Batista appearing at Smackdown 1000 may be part of something bigger, a run through WrestleMania. The podcast claims that ‘Batista may be signing a short-term deal with WWE at Smackdown to possibly appear at Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, and WrestleMania.’”

If this speculation is true then Batista would play a pivotal role on Smackdown 1000. A storyline angle will kick off on tomorrow night that will help him to stay around the blue brand in the near future. Rumors also do suggest that WWE officials might include him into the World Cup tournament to add more star power into it. So Batista might feature in a qualifying match on Smackdown, as well.
