Rey Mysterio made his return to WWE programming at SmackDown 1000 and started a run that has been kind of average. WWE should have utilized a wrestler like him in a far better way. Unless those special matches against Andrade on Smackdown, the masked sensation has not received an opportunity to make it big.

Things could change now that Rey Mysterio is back on Monday Night Raw and picked up a huge win over the United States Champion. Also, his son Dominic is accompanying him at backstage and even inside the ring which suggests that he is up for something big. This might be the time that Dominic gets the spotlight.
As we have seen in recent past, Rey Mysterio and Dominic appeared together on Smackdown prior to Wrestlemania 35. The pair continued appearing on Raw as seen on last week. In fact, The Master of 619 has celebrated his victory over Samoa Joe on the show with his son. There must be a reason why Dominic ran out there to accompany his dad.
Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline recently revealed the plans for Rey Mysterio’s son which suggests that he is gearing up for a wrestling stint in the WWE. Now no youngster can expect for a better start in pro-wrestling than start competing in the biggest brand available, there. With his dad being a legend, Dominic will get this opportunity, real quick.
The source added that Rey Mysterio appearing with Dominic on Raw means one thing and that is set up the background of his wrestling stint. Here’s what the statement came from Meltzer courtesy of NoDQ.com,

We should note that Dominic has been training with Canadian wrestling legend, Lance Storm. Rey Mysterio himself has posted on Instagram on this. With the ongoing storyline with Samoa Joe, we may see Dominic involved in the US title match that is in the pipeline for Money in the Bank. Mysterio should get the title match by pinning Joe on Raw on April 29th.
