WWE will start hosting special Holiday edition of WWE Live Events from December 26th onwards. The show at the Madison Square Garden will start the spree that will continue through the beginning of 2019. This is where the company reserves some big-time lineups to entertain the fans. This year will not be anything different. John Cena is returning to perform in several such live events, as per the earlier reports.
The full schedule of John Cena after comeback
Advertisements from Madison Square Garden revealed the returning match of John Cena on that night. He would have teamed up with Finn Balor to take on Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler. But the lineup is no more the same. The match card had multiple changes in recent times. The above-mentioned match does not exist, anymore. Rather, we might get the returnee in a new role.
Current ads from Madison Square Garden are promoting “John Cena Making his Madison Square Garden return” instead of a match. It is still not clear whether he can make a comeback to in-ring competition on that night. His movie commitment often bars him from stepping foot into the squared circle. This one could be one of those. Here is the full match card for the Madison Square Garden show,

Also, we should take into account the recent fallout between Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler on WWE Raw. They are no more working as a team which is why they can’t perform as a team at MSG. McIntyre, Ziggler, and Balor are still out of the match card which indicates that they will receive a match at the upcoming show in some capacity.
As for John Cena, he will return at Madison Square Garden for over a year. This would eventually lead to his return on WWE TV, as well. We have previously reported that he will be there on the January 7th episode of WWE Raw. Additionally, he will appear on Smackdown Live, too. We wonder whether this means his participation at Royal Rumble 2019.
