One of the much-anticipated occasions of WWE programming is the Superstar Shakeup. WWE Raw and Smackdown superstars switch their home brands to freshen things up. These also ensure new rivalries on both the shows alongside some new faces. Some promising youngsters from WWE NXT also join the main roster as we have seen in the past couple of years to make the whole experience quite exciting.

Heading into 2019, the question was when we can expect the next version of Superstar Shakeup. We have probably got an update on the same during the airing of WWE Raw. A video clip aired on a local basis that might have revealed a big spoiler on the upcoming version of a program that we earlier knew as The Draft.

A commercial aired during the February 4th edition of WWE RAW in Canada. It was originally going to promote the next time the flagship show visits the country. But it also revealed that the Superstar Shakeup will also return on the same occasion. To make things bigger, WWE might name the entire experience as an International Superstar Shakeup. Further details on the same have not been disclosed on the video package.

We just know that WWE Raw will host the April 15th edition in Montreal, Canada that should start the brand switch program. It should continue the next night on Smackdown in the same venue and city. The promo aired hyped up the night as “the first international Superstar Shakeup”. So there might be big things in-store when the show airs following Wrestlemania 35.

Superstar Shakeup in 2018 took place on April 16th and 17th following Wrestlemania 34. So it would be back by the end of the exact one-year mark. Last time, Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe, R-Truth, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Asuka, Sheamus & Cesaro were the top stars to leave WWE Raw for Smackdown Live.

The reverse process saw Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler, Jinder Mahal, Sami Zayn, The Riott Squad, Natalya, Baron Corbin, Bobby Roode, Chad Gable, Mojo Rawley, and Zack Ryder moving to WWE Raw. This time around, we expect something bigger considering that the term International attached to Superstar Shakeup. Perhaps NXT will officially be a part of the entire process, too.
