WWE has finally revealed who the first inductee will be for this year’s Hall of Fame. Via a statement from ESPN, we have now received confirmation about the first inductees. The source disclosed that DX will enter the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame class during WrestleMania 35 weekend on April 5th.

Pro-wrestling fans are no stranger to the faction named DX aka D-Generation X. Still, we should remind you of the names that were involved in this iconic faction. Chyna, Sean “X-Pac” Waltman, Billy Gunn, “Road Dogg” BG James, Triple H and the already WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels were in it. These names will now enter the Hall of Fame as a group.

The COO of the company stated that the idea of putting DX into Hall of Fame was ‘swirling around’ for quite sometimes. But they have to go through some key events and decisions to finally put things together. Only thereafter, the official announcement came prior to last night’s Monday Night Raw aired from the Cajundome in Lafayette.

Triple H could stop from remembering the moments that he enjoyed as a part of this iconic group named DX. So he stated the following,

“It’s a funny thing because DX was something that, before Kevin [Nash] and Scott [Hall] left, at the time we all talked about using ‘The Kliq’ as it was — kind of morphing that into television since it was so out there anyways. But things worked out the way they did — they left, and the timing was right. Shawn and I still wanted to do it. Vince saw the value in it, I guess, and finally, let us go at it. By that point in time, I was looking for a heater, and we had brought Chyna.”

Speaking of Chyna leads us to the much-asked question of whether WWE thinks her as a Hall of Famer. The two parties had grown bad blood between them that put a question mark over Chyna’s further recognition by the WWE. But now the company has confirmed to give a lifetime achievement to the eighth wonder of the world.

The Game also clarified that Chyna absolutely deserves to be in the Hall of Fame Club former by the legends,

“Absolutely, definitely deserves to be in there. It’d be tough to pick a female that was more impactful on the business. She did something that was completely so out of left field that it wasn’t even being considered when we first brought it up for her to come in. It wasn’t even a consideration… it wasn’t an easy thing, and against all odds, she did all of that.”

With this Hall of Fame induction, Shawn Michaels will become a two-time inductee cementing his legacy with Ric Flair. Only this mane had a two-time Hall of Fame induction, prior to this. None of the other pro-wrestling superstars had the opportunity to enter this prestigious club for two occasions.

2019 Hall of Fame is set to take place on April 5th at the Prudential Center in New York, New Jersey. As always, we expect a galore of pro-wrestling legends to make this ceremony a one of a kind show prior to Wrestlemania 35.
