WWE confirmed that more than 50 women will be part of the Evolution PPV event. So they are stacking up the card as much as possible. We are only eight days away from the show with only one episode of WWE Raw and Smackdown remaining for build-up purpose. So we received an official update that confirmed some big names for the women’s battle royal at Evolution.
Must read: Change in Evolution card
Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com was the first to indicate that WWE officials were in touch with Ivory for this match. Now, WWE.com has confirmed that the Hall of Famer will indeed return to compete in this battle royal. We need to note that Ivory entered the WWE Hall of Fame club earlier this year in New Orleans. It will be an honor to see the legend performing inside the ring.
Accompanying her in the battle royal will be another name from the past i.e. Molly Holly. She was back to perform in the women’s royal rumble match in January 2018. Now, the veteran name will join the fray once again to earn an opportunity for the women’s championship. The winner of the Evolution battle royal will get a title shot, for sure.
Additional statements from WWE.com also confirmed that some of the key members of WWE Divas Era will also participate in women’s battle royal. Michelle McCool, Maria Kanellis, and Kelly Kelly are these three confirmed names in this match. Previously, they confirmed the name of Torrie Wilson, as well. Check out the full announcement, here,
“It was announced that a new crop of Superstars past and present would join the field: Inaugural Divas Champion (and two-time Women’s Champion) Michelle McCool, WWE Hall of Famers Alundra Blayze and Ivory, former Women’s and Hardcore Champion Molly Holly, former Divas Champion Kelly Kelly and Diva of the Year Slammy Award-winner Maria Kanellis.”
It’s good to see an all-time legend like Alundra Blayze to compete inside the ring for one final time, perhaps. Meanwhile, reports are also out that some of the members of the young generation will also be a part of the Evolution PPV event. Mike Johnson of PWIsider.com came up with some names from NXT and Mae Young Classic for this all-women night on October 28th,
Lacey Evans
Mia Yim
Rhea Ripley
Kacy Catanzaro
Bianca Belair
Io Shirai
Jessamyn Duke
Candice LeRae
Dakota Kai.
Marina Shafir.
We assume most of these names will perform inside this Evolution battle royal making the fray even bigger. One of them could turn out to be the winner earning a direct title shot at the main roster that could be a huge surprise for the fans.
