Big Show has a nag of turning babyface or heel on a random basis. Internet memes are always there for him over a character transition. He continued to do so ever since the comeback from a hip surgery. Ever since returning prior to Crown Jewel PPV, he already changed his gimmick for three different occasions.
Big Show Net worth and salary details
The Giant was originally back as a babyface on Smackdown Live. But he turned on The New Day on Smackdown 1000 becoming a heel for the umpteenth time. He started an ally with The Bar helping them to win back the Smackdown tag team championships. Together The Show Bar looked to be unstoppable as a solid team. But the happier days were over.
Last week, Big Show had a confrontation with The Bar at backstage. Sheamus and Cesaro were not happy about him not helping them against the New Day at Thanksgiving Feast Fight. The Giant got angry with their comments and hit Cesaro with a Knock Out Punch. In the process, he has turned into a babyface.
Fans might ask why Big Show had another flip in his character. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted on this and revealed that the former WWE Champion might be dealing with an injury. This is the reason why the officials might keep him away from competition. Hence, they decided to turn him into a face, again.
Here’s what the source hinted, (courtesy SportsKeeda.com)
“Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that the split was done so that Big Show can recuperate from a hamstring injury. In an interview with Busted Open Radio a few days ago, Big Show had spoken about how he had a slight injury, which is not related to the hip surgery that he had earlier this year.”
At this time, it is unknown whether Big Show is dealing with a severe injury or not. There’s no update wither whether this injury will force him to stay out of Smackdown Live for a long time. But he surely joined a long list of injured superstars in the WWE. Braun Strowman, Fandango, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Rowan, Tye Dillinger, and even Triple H are amongst them.
At this point in his career being a babyface character looked far better option for Big Show. A veteran like him should perform better as a face against the heels. It was not also understandable as well why he decided to join The Bar. This produced nothing from the faction. A solo run would be rather good for the world’s largest athlete.
