Rumors are all over the internet suggesting that Randy Orton might be leaving the WWE in the near future. There’s no confirmed news on it from any of the sources but the sudden rise of All Elite Wrestling is the main reason behind this. They are offering more money to the wrestlers that could be lucrative enough to turn down an offer from the WWE, as well.
Randy Orton achieves an incredible record
The Khan Family is backing this company up with its strong financial base. They are actually richer than the McMahons. In case you don’t know, Toni Khan is the owner of Jacksonville Jaguars and a huge pro-wrestling fan. So no wonder why he is happy to invest in this business and might intend to overshadow the WWE.
This is why we can’t wipe out the chances of big names to leave the company. Chris Jericho has left whereas WWE also failed to sign Kenny Omega under their banner despite a huge deal offered. Current speculations suggested that 13-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton might also be looking for the door.
However, a report via the Dirty Sheets confirmed that The Viper is not leaving at all. He is already getting a huge amount per year which is close to $5 million. Also, there are additional paychecks and merchandise selling bonuses that makes him one of the richest WWE superstars of all-time. Here are more details from wwfoldschool.com,
“Orton is making a whopping $4.5 million every year with 3.5% cut of merchandise sales, a tour bus, first-class travel and only has to work 150 dates per year, as revealed by The Dirty Sheets. It was also noted that it might be Orton himself that might have fueled the rumors of him going to AEW in order to get the WWE officials to present him with a new 10-year deal as his current deal expires in 10 months.”
Randy Orton and WWE signed a 5-year deal back in 2010 that stayed all the way to 2015. They both were on good terms extending the deal once it expired. Another 5-year extension happened that means Orton will stay in the WWE until 2020. If both the parties remain on good terms then it is likely that the contract will get renewed automatically.
He is one of those big names who has been a cornerstone name of the WWE roster for almost two decades. The company already provided him an exclusive deal that allows him to work only on selected TV shows throughout the year skipping the house shows. Yet he gets one of the biggest paychecks. So there’s no reason why Randy Orton will not re-sign.
