WWE Raw is not having their cornerstone name by their side, right now. Roman Reigns will no more be out there to sell out shows from now on. The biggest name in the WWE and pro-wrestling industry today is battling with blood cancer. Hence he needs some time-off until and unless getting healed. He left a big void on the WWE Raw roster that is yet to be filled.
The writers of the show have reshuffled the deck starting from the Providence edition of WWE Raw itself. There were some major characteristics change for a number of superstars. The primary reason for the same is nothing but the absence of Roman Reigns. One big name that turned babyface was of Braun Strowman. He is the rumored replacement for the big dog.
Must read: Original plans with Dean Ambrose heel turn
WWE needs a prime babyface figure to run the show. If everything seems right then Braun Strowman would take this place. Already a title opportunity is hanging in front of him. But in that case, WWE is losing a strong heel which is the reason behind Dean Ambrose heel turn. Currently, he will execute the same role on WWE Raw.
These were not the only changes we had on WWE Raw. Elias was a strong and the most natural heel figure on the show. But he also turned into a babyface figure by attacking Baron Corbin. The good part is that the audience can connect well with him. Hence, they cheered this turn, universally. We expect he will continue to get the same reactions.
But there’s more to the story as the officials will now need a big boost up on the roster, too. Hence, reports are out clarifying that some NXT call-ups seem mandatory. Joe Peisich ofBarnburner’s No Holds Barred podcast hinted the same stating that WWE creative will soon make way for some NXT superstars on the flagship show.

“Look for several NXT call-ups to be brought to the main roster faster because let’s face it, Roman Reigns has been a worker. He’s been a main event face of the franchise. So I don’t know who they’re going to bring up, maybe Johnny Gargano maybe Aleister Black but somebody huge is going to be brought up faster than anything.”
We should note that there are two big names who are also out of WWE Raw apart from Roman Reigns. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are the two big heels who are suffering from major injuries and might not return until Wrestlemania season picks up. So until then, Monday Night Raw has to go through with a perhaps tough phase.
