WWE News: Huge Match Waiting For Returning Sami Zayn At Wrestlemania 35

WWE is gradually setting up the Wrestlemania 35 match card. A number of hiatuses have built up major roadblocks in confirming the lineups. This is the reason why this year’s ‘show of shows’ were not looking much stronger on paper. But the returns of Roman Reigns, Batista, Kevin Owens have ensured that a stacked lineup will be waiting for us on April 7th. Another return is waiting down the line when Sami Zayn finds his way back into WWE programming.

Favorites revealed for Fastlane 2019

WWE released the first teaser for Sami Zayn on the December 17th episode of Monday Night Raw. They did not reveal the specific timespan for the comeback of The Underdog from the Underground. But it did suggest that it will happen very soon. Reports are out about where it could happen to arrange a huge matchup at Wrestlemania 35. It’s good news that the superstar will get to compete at the showcase of immortals right after coming out of an injury.

On the latest edition of the Barnburner’s On The Mat wrestling show, Joe Peisich revealed about the upcoming plans on Sami Zayn. He went to disclose that the former NXT Champion might be heading to a clash against a high-flying superstar. Mustafa Ali would be his speculated opponent on April 7th when Wrestlemania emanates from the MetLife Stadium. Here’re the comments from the source,

“So another thing that I heard what about a match at WrestleMania with Mustafa Ali and the returning Canadian Sami Zayn? I think that would be off the charts.”

Roman Reign shares emotional Wrestlemania story

Speaking of Mustafa Ali, he was also out of the context before returning on Smackdown on the go-home episode of Fastlane. This happened due to a concussion he suffered during a live event in February. Randy Orton handed a swollen eye that forced him to sit out of Elimination Chamber 2019 PPV. Kofi Kingston replaced him in the scheduled WWE Championship match.

On the other hand, Sami Zayn dealt with a double rotator cuff and shoulder injury since June 2018. He had to undergo surgery to fix the issues that cost almost nine months of his career. But the good news is that WWE does have a big plan for him right after coming back. Otherwise, it’s not an easy thing to earn a solo match in a Wrestlemania match card.
