WWE News: Is Jeff Hardy Returning From Injury In 2019?
The Hardy Boyz made one of the most memorable returns of this decade at WrestleMania 33 in 2017 to the much delight of the WWE Universe. But as time progressed, the expectations faded away from the two veteran superstars due to several reasons. Injury is the most important issue in this perspective that has kept them away for good. Jeff Hardy has been a prime example of that.
Since the comeback in 2017, the younger Hardy has been the victim of the injury bug for a couple of occasions that kept him out of action for more than six months. Back in 2018, he popped a shoulder to miss six months of action. In May 2019, a second fatal injury happened due to which we have not seen him on TV for a long time.
We have received recent updates on the condition of Jeff Hardy alongside the contract details with the WWE. There were rumors around the status of the Hardy Boyz due to their regular absenteeism from WWE programming. It looks like Jeff still has a long way to go before the deal comes to an end whereas Matt will have his time ending in 2020.
Fightful.com reported that WWE added more months to the contract of Jeff Hardy due to the injuries he suffered. So he has to spend at least one additional year with the biggest pro-wrestling brand, out there, (courtesy sescoops.com)
“According to the report, Hardy’s WWE contract has been extended for “at least” one more year due to his injury that has placed him on the sidelines.
The internal injury list notes that Hardy is expected to return to in-ring action in November.
Although his contract expiration date is not exactly known, his brother, Matt, is under contract with the company through March of 2020.”

Jeff Hardy has a surgically repaired knee for which he underwent the knives, earlier this year. The expected timeline for return was approximately 6-9 months following surgery to repair the damaged knee. So he should be back around November when Survivor Series will be on the horizon.
Before the injury happened, Matt and Jeff Hardy defeated The Usos (Jey & Jimmy Uso) on the post-WrestleMania 35 episode of Smackdown Live in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center to win the SmackDown Tag Team Titles. A few days later while working a SmackDown live event in Madison, Wisconsin, Jeff ruptured his knee and got shelved for an indefinite timespan.
