WWE News: Reason Why WWE Raw Will Have A Huge Title Match, Next Week 1

This week’s episodes of Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live were the last of its kind as both the shows are set to get a major revamp from next week onwards. As reported earlier, we’ve seen the older stage constructions for the final time on the September 23rd and 24th shows. After this, WWE will be using different sets for their weekly programs alongside some other big changes.

Next week marks the beginning of new contracts for both the weekly programs of WWE. Raw will continue its run on the USA Network whereas SmackDown Live moves to FOX Sports. Both the shows will have loaded contents on it so to start the new seasons with a bang. Apparently, it is the same reason why WWE has also booked a title match on next week’s episode of WWE RAW.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, WWE will host a Universal Title match to deliver a major RAW, next week. (NXT will have a face-off against AEW’s TV Show next week whereas SmackDown will move to FOX) So the flagship show needed some additional promotion to save itself from the other two weekly shows those were creating an overshadow. “All of the emphasis is gonna fall on SmackDown and NXT because NXT is gonna have a loaded show on October 2nd because they have to, we know that. They wanna make sure that RAW doesn’t fall too far.”

Basically, all the spotlights were on SmackDown Live which is making a shift on the FOX Network and becoming more mainstream than ever. The announcement of Brock Lesnar taking on Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship has become a headliner ever since the announcement happened.

Also, AEW’s Dynamite will start its journey going head-to-head with NXT on Wednesday nights which means WWE will have to present a loaded show to win the TV rating war. In between these two shows, Monday Night Raw was not getting enough attention. So the officials decided to promote it as the season premiere which will now have multiple big segments.

Brock Lesnar will be present on the show and so will be a couple of pf WWE Hall of Famers. Also, there will be a Universal Championship main event math alongside a Women’s division matchup.
