WWE News: James Ellsworth Could Be Back On Smackdown In Future
James Ellsworth returned in the WWE at the Money in the Bank PPV event. He appeared during the Smackdown women’s championship match between Carmella and Asuka. Quite expectedly, he took the side of the champion and went on to distract the challenger. Carmella capitalized on it to retain her championship.
The pair of ‘Mella is money’ and the ‘chinless wonder’ went to reign supreme on the blue brand, thereafter. There’s a solid reason why WWE brought back James Ellsworth to the business, yet again. Protection the weak heel champion was the main purpose behind it. Without his help, Carmella could not become a dominant champion.
Paige sanctioned a shark cage match at the Extreme Rules PPV event with James Ellsworth locked inside it. Once again, he turned out to be the deciding factor in the match. Asuka was busy beating him down during the match allowing Carmella to hit her from the back. This allowed her to beat Asuka for two times, consecutively.
However, the former Smackdown women’s champion will no more receive James Ellsworth by her side from now onwards. Due to his rude behavior, the Smackdown general manager fired her from the blue brand. As per the reports, he will not appear on Tuesday Nights, anymore. However, he still has a good working rapport with the company officials. It still keeps the chances open for a comeback in the future.
Reports from cagesideseats.com gave updates that James Ellsworth never signed a bound contract with the WWE, anyway. He was ‘on sort of a handshake deal’ with the company since coming back that allowed him to appear on a weekly basis. It means he knew that his days were not going to be long enough in the WWE.
However his farewell speech on the social media did indicate that he left on a good note,
“What an amazing ride the last 2 years have been!! The fans have been great, WWE has taught me so much and giving me opportunity’s I would never dream I would get.
In closing, I’m not sure what’s next for me, but I promise you this, I will keep fighting, never give up on my dream, if anything when people look back at James Ellsworth I want them to be inspired by the fact that I refused to give up on my dream, even after accomplishing so much, because there’s so much more left to do, and to prove, I’ll continue to show the world “Any Man With Two Hands Has A Fighting Chance”
James Ellsworth always brings in the entertainment factor alongside him whenever appearing on TV or house shows. Fans love to see him doing funny antics. This is why the company signed back in the year 2016. Hopefully, he ends up signing another one in the near future.
