WWE News: Jinder Mahal Challenged Roman Reigns for a Match on WWE Raw
The feud between Roman Reigns and Jinder Mahal has just become more interesting. WWE always wanted to present this rivalry as a special one.
They know that the prime babyface player of the show will have to carry this rivalry throughout this summer time. They are not likely to stop until Summerslam arrives. So there should be enough twists in it.
Roman Reigns was about to have a singles contest against Jinder Mahal at the MITB PPV event. The former WWE Champion made a surprising move on the social media recently. Jinder did not want to wait to get his hands until this Sunday. So the Big Dog received a new challenge from him on Twitter. It set up an early match between them on the flagship show.
The prime babyface superstar responded to the tweet instantly. He accepted the challenge without even thinking. WWE.com officially announced this match on tonight’s WWE Raw,
“Friday on a WWE.com Exclusive, Mahal challenged Reigns to a match for Monday Night Raw, and the former WWE Champion accepted one day later. With animosity between the two Superstars at an all-time high, will there will be anything left of either competitor by the June 17 pay-per-view?”

It is quite unusual to have such a preponed match on WWE Raw from a WWE Network exclusive. The reason behind this would be that the officials might have realized there would not be enough room for this singles match in a stacked card like MITB PPV event. Almost ten matches will take place on that night.
We want to remind you about a similar situation between Roman Reigns and Ruse. These two were about to go into a fight at the Summerslam 2016 event.
But the match did take place on the go-home edition of the show. The original PPV match never took place. It ended in a brawl between the two. It turned out to be just a one-off segment between the two.

It is likely that Roman Reigns might not compete at the MITB PPV event against the modern-day Maharaja. They might continue the feud by having one such segment mentioned above.
The current announcement has surely increased the curiosity for tonight’s episode. The Verizon Arena in Little Rocks will be the host to it.
