This week, WWE came up with yet another eventful night of WWE Raw. Becky Lynch left the world talking with her attack on Stephanie McMahon. Kurt Angle competed in a solid main event match teaming up with Braun Strowman. Ronda Rousey competed in two different matches on one single night. Plus, Jeff Jarrett returned to action on the show.
Another pleasant moment was there on WWE Raw when the former General Manager of WWE SmackDown, Paige came back on WWE TV after over a month. She was in charge of the blue brand for the better part of 2018 before the McMahons took over programming. They started to run things over on both WWE Raw and Smackdown Live showing the exit door to Paige on Tuesday nights.
Paige has always been one of the most popular figures on the WWE roster. So the fans were unhappy about the sudden removal of the former Divas Champion from TV. They were really happy to see the ‘anti-Diva’ of the WWE back, last night. She was there to promote her autobiography based movie-Fighting with My Family on WWE Raw.
It was just a brief appearance on the flagship show to let the worldwide fans know that the movie hits the theatres on February 14th in selected areas. On February 22nd the movie will see release in other cinemas, worldwide. As we all know, The Rock is the producer of this movie who also plays a significant role.
Recently he spoke out about the experience while making this project. At one point, he had to fund for this film since the other sources have backed out of it,
“Every studio passed. They were afraid of the content. They were afraid that it was pro-wrestling, and they were concerned that it was a small British comedy of a family who was very likable — but also not particularly famous, from a very small working-class town in England. I’m a lucky son of a bitch to be in the position that I am, and we’re very lucky as a company to have had the success we’ve had. But at the end of the day, that didn’t mean shit when it came down to whether the studios wanted to invest or not.”
Although it was really good to see Paige back on WWE Raw, we do not know whether the TV appearances will continue or not. Shane McMahon informed us earlier the former GM was not going anywhere. She should come back in a changed role in the near future. However, we do not have any hint of what role Paige might if a permanent return is in-store around the Wrestlemania season.
