Wrestlemania season will kick off with the Royal Rumble PPV, as always. On January 27th of 2019, WWE will present us with the annual tradition at the Chase Field Arena in Phoenix, Arizona. WWE has made this particular show even bigger starting from last year onwards. We now get not one but two separate Royal Rumble matches from the men and women’s division.
Favorite to win women’s Royal Rumble
With that being said, the speculations are running rampant about who could be the winners of Royal Rumble 2019 matches. Whoever wins this bout, gets the advantage of becoming the main event of Wrestlemania. Last year, Shinsuke Nakamura and Asuka won the male and female Royal Rumble match to get respective championship matches at Wrestlemania 34. Recent reports are out claiming who can follow their footsteps.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter believes that Seth Rollins will win 2019 Royal Rumble match. He has been talking trash about Brock Lesnar, lately which indicates that a potential feud is in-store. Also, who better to claim the main event spot at Wrestlemania that Roman Reigns had reserved for the last four years?
Fans would love the idea of Seth Rollins winning the Royal Rumble match and challenge Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania. This could be the best scenario considering we have already seen Lesnar taking on Braun Strowman on a couple of occasions. The Architect, on the other hand, is carrying Monday Night Raw on his shoulder. Nobody deserves a championship shot other than him.
However, WWE might be nurturing two different options at this point regarding the Royal Rumble match. Here is the update from SportsKeeda.com,
“Rollins has recently been talking trash about Lesnar. It could lead to a Royal Rumble win and a WrestleMania main event match between the two men. Vince McMahon likes the idea of Drew McIntyre winning The Rumble. It allows Strowman to win the title at The Royal Rumble and then have a main-event match between McIntyre and Strowman.”

Some of the fans and critics might think that it would be early for Strowman and McIntyre to feature in the main event of the show. Both of them may not be ready for such a global PPV event with none of them winning a world title, before. Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar seems a perfect alternative from that perspective.
